Planning a wedding or any event is particularly hard work.

Delegating the running of the special occasion to a handful of trusted suppliers and specialists is a way of creating the day of your dreams and keeping your sanity!

There are several suppliers that you couldn’t and shouldn’t be without. Your photographer, caterer, videographer, and florist are a few of the professionals who’ll help you achieve perfection.

However, most people overlook the role of a professional Toastmaster.

A Toastmaster plays a vital role on the event scene. They are responsible for announcing toasts and introducing the speakers. At a wedding, these would traditionally be the father of the bride, best man and groom (although “bride speeches” are becoming the new normal). Toastmasters aren’t just customary at weddings — they work within the business world, making formal announcements at large corporate, civic, and even Royal events.

A good Toastmaster may also offer expert advice on the content and delivery of the key speeches.

The role of a Toastmaster extends to more than just announcing things. If a wedding planner is the planner, then the Toastmaster is the ‘carry outer’ – their job is to take the running order of the day and make it work.

When I am booked for a Wedding or Civil Partnership, a lot of planning will take place (by me) following a meeting or telephone consultation.

You are commissioning your own private Project Manager for your special day! Prior to your arrival at your chosen venue, I will be meeting with all the venue staff who will be involved in your day or providing your catering. I will also be liaising with other suppliers to ensure everything you have planned is in place.

The Benefits of Having a Toastmaster

A good Toastmaster acts as your MC and coordinator leaving you to enjoy your event without the worry of organising suppliers, and making sure guests are in the right place at the right time. In addition to working with fellow suppliers, a Toastmaster offers excellent support to the hosts and important attendees, all of whom has their own important role to fulfil.

At a wedding, many think that a Toastmaster’s responsibilities are covered by the best man’s duties. Trusting a professional and their expert management skill will guarantee a positive outcome on your big day. With the help of a Toastmaster your day can run smoothly, eliminating any stress for the bride and groom.
